Tiago Fernandes
ECOSOC

Tiago Fernandes is chair of the ECOSOC Committee. He has a vast experience in MUNs, including participations in PAMUN and IMUN. Tiago is a form 12 student. Besides school he plays tennis professionally being very well ranked nationally. He has a dream of becoming next number 1 in the world of tennis. At school he studies business, as one day he portrays to be a successful enterpreneur. He would like to make this conference memorable, and he hopes everyone will enjoy it as much as him.

André Antunes Fernandes
PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITY COUCIL 

André Antunes Fernandes is a student who has always been a passionate about public speaking and MUN’s. Since 2010 he has attended various MUN’s in Portugal and overseas, collecting a total of 14. Last year’s OPOMUN he ferociously represented the United States of America in the successful Security Council, having also chaired various sessions. Moreover, this year he is President of the Security Council, expecting the utmost quality of debate throughout the 3 days. In conjunction, two other highly experienced members of his team, João Antonio and David Oliveira, whom will be chairing.

João António Carvalho
HEAD OF MEDIA & SECURITY COUNCIL 

Participating in Model United Nations since early age, João António Carvalho has always showed great interest in debating, participating in several conferences both nationally and abroad. Moreover, João has for long been passionate about Media, being one of the founding members of CLIP's Media Club. After two years of being the Head of Media at OPOMUN, this year he will not only take that position but also sit next to André Antunes Fernandes and David Oliveira at the Security Council, where he will be chair.

 
Maria Teresa Figueiredo
ECOSOC

Teresa Figueiredo has always enjoyed going to MUN conferences and so will be charing at 6th OPOMUN Conference at the ECOSOC committee. This brilliant speaker has shown keen interest in public speaking as she finds it “ the only solution to global issues”. Teresa wishes a fruitful debate full of world changing clauses.

David Oliveira
SECURITY COUNCIL 

Always an avid debater and public speaker, David Oliveira will take on the role of chair of the Security Council, in this 6th OPOMUN conference. Honored to be a part of this brilliant team of chairs and excited to intermediate the most prestigious of committees, he hopes for a very fruitful debate, counting on innovative clauses and active debaters. David has been a part of numerous MUN conferences, including OPOMUN and IMUN, besides being an active member of the CLIP community, as well as Deputy Head Boy. He loves Physics and wishes to pursue a career in this field (engineering or the natural sciences). Outside the classroom, he enjoys playing tennis, listening to music and playing the guitar.

 
Maria Guerra Coelho
HUMAN RIGHTS

Maria Guerra Coelho has participated in Model United Nations since Form 8, developing a very strong passion for debating, representing several countries across multiple MUNs. Always keen to speak and carrying with her great ideas for the problems we face today, this year Maria will be a Chair at the Human Rights committee where she will moderate what she hopes to be “a fruitful and proactive debate, where all delegates are focused in tackling world problems”.
